Turkey Meal

Macronutrient breakdown
% of metabolisable energyTurkey is a clean, mild protein that sits well with cats who find richer red meats too heavy, and it's a natural companion to our chicken meal for households who want to rotate proteins. This meal is built around it from start to finish: gently poached thigh for fat and flavour, breast for lean muscle meat, and a small portion of turkey liver for a natural supply of vitamin A, copper, and B vitamins. Egg yolk adds richness and choline alongside fat-soluble nutrients, butternut squash brings gentle fibre and moisture, and nutritional yeast layers in B vitamins and a savoury depth cats are drawn to. Because turkey on its own doesn't carry meaningful omega-3s, a measured amount of fish oil is added to cover the EPA and DHA that support skin, coat, and joints. A precise supplement blend completes what whole ingredients alone cannot, and taurine sits well above the recommended minimum, a deliberate buffer for heart and eye health. This recipe was designed as a rotation partner for cats who already enjoy poultry. Alternating proteins through the week keeps mealtimes interesting and broadens the range of nutrients a cat sees over time, without straying from the family of flavours they already accept. It is built to meet the full FEDIAF 2025 nutrient profile for adult cats, with a calcium-to-phosphorus ratio held close to 1.5:1, the balance recommended for healthy adult cats. A few nutrients sit a little closer to their reference points, a natural consequence of building a diet around turkey alone. All nutrient values are calculated estimates, and the recipe is formulated with normal ingredient variation in mind, so it stays comfortably within range from one batch to the next.

FEDIAF is the European pet food industry federation. Its 2025 nutritional guidelines set the minimum — and, where defined, maximum — nutrient levels for a complete cat food.
Values per 1000 kcal of metabolisable energy (ME). Meet? shows whether the recipe value falls within the FEDIAF min–max range. Balance shows where the value sits within the safe range.
