Chicken Meal

Macronutrient breakdown
% of metabolisable energyA chicken-only meal built for adult cats. Every protein comes from the chicken itself: gently poached thigh and breast for lean muscle meat, heart for a natural source of taurine, and liver for a dense supply of vitamin A and B vitamins. The recipe carries taurine at close to twice the recommended minimum, much of it from the heart meat rather than added powder. Cooked egg yolk adds richness and fat-soluble nutrients, butternut squash brings gentle fiber and moisture, and nutritional yeast deepens both flavor and the B-vitamin profile. A precise supplement blend completes what whole ingredients alone cannot, so the finished meal is built to meet the nutritional needs of adult cats. This recipe was formulated for balance rather than extremes. The aim was a smooth, even nutritional profile, and it shows: nearly every essential nutrient sits comfortably within its recommended range. It is formulated to meet the full FEDIAF 2025 nutrient profile for indoor and neutered adult cats, and made for everyday feeding. A few nutrients sit a little closer to their reference points, a natural result of building a diet around chicken alone. The calcium-to-phosphorus ratio, for example, is set at a steady 1.5:1, the balance recommended for healthy adult cats. All nutrient values are calculated estimates, and the recipe is formulated with normal ingredient variation in mind, so it stays comfortably within range from one batch to the next.

FEDIAF is the European pet food industry federation. Its 2025 nutritional guidelines set the minimum — and, where defined, maximum — nutrient levels for a complete cat food.
Values per 1000 kcal of metabolisable energy (ME). Meet? shows whether the recipe value falls within the FEDIAF min–max range. Balance shows where the value sits within the safe range.
