% of dry matter — for comparing across foodsA chicken-forward meal with pork and salmon alongside. Chicken thigh and chicken hearts carry most of the protein; lean pork loin, skin-on salmon, egg, and a little chicken liver complete it. It is built for chicken lovers who could use a change. Pork loin is mild and lean, the closest of the red meats to chicken in taste, so it brings a second protein and a different mix of nutrients without asking the cat for a leap: it is the smallest step away from a plain chicken meal. The salmon turns it into a feast. Pork also costs less than beef, so this is the lower-cost sibling of our Chicken, Beef & Salmon Meal, and the two rotate well: the same chicken base with a different second meat. The salmon brings the omega-3 fats and vitamin D that poultry and pork carry little of, so this recipe needs no fish oil and no vitamin D drops. Most of the nutrition comes from the whole foods; supplements only complete what they cannot cover. It follows the proportions of a prey diet, mostly muscle meat with a little organ and a calcium source, and meets the FEDIAF, AAFCO, and NRC profiles for both variations.

FEDIAF is the European pet food industry federation. Its 2025 nutritional guidelines set the minimum — and, where defined, maximum — nutrient levels for a complete cat food.
Values per 1000 kcal of metabolisable energy (ME). Meet? shows whether the recipe value falls within the FEDIAF min–max range. Balance shows where the value sits within the safe range.
